El Cedro Forest is located at the limits of the Garajonay National Park, in the municipality of Hermigua, north of the island of La Gomera.
The Cedar is a beautiful forest perfect to let you surprise by magic, thanks to its laurel and its refreshing and thick mists will make you think of all those fables that speak of this great forest.
El Cedro Forest has a beautiful stream through which water runs throughout the year (something unusual in the Canary Islands). It is also considered one of the largest forest masses in the entire Canary Islands.
The forest has a great hiking route, which begins with a slight descent and goes deeper and deeper into nature, full of ferns, laurel and tangled frog trunks.
The path is very well defined with trunks and numbered areas to make your journey easier. On your tour you will find spectacular water stream that is present throughout the year (something unusual in the Canary Islands). Along the path you can see a wonderful wild flora.
Following the Cedar route, and shortly after leaving Garajonay Park, you will find the cedar farmhouse, where it is possible to stay in a rural environment, full of nature and tranquility.
