Location
Valle Gran Rey

Located in a great ravine that is born in Arure, the former capital of the municipality, Valle Gran Rey has become the main tourist enclave of the island of La Gomera.
The beauty of its landscapes, dotted with countless palm trees, turns the municipality into an amalgam of neighborhoods of white houses that contrast with the greenery of their places: Guadá, El Guro, La Vizcaína, are some of these nuclei from which numerous trails leave that unite it with Las Hayas, the great plateau of Mérica or the next town of Chipude.
The most attractive of the municipality are undoubtedly its beaches, the best existing on the island and where the fine black sand is mixed with the blue purity of its waters. It has the beach of Vueltas, located next to the port; Charco del Conde, a small natural bay where the youngest enjoy the bath; the Beach and the Puntilla, located in the most western area and of a considerable extension or the Playa del Inglés, perhaps one of the most impressive corners of the island, where the black sand and the bravery of its waters balance before the cliffs de la Mérica in a natural enclave without comparison in the Canary Islands.
It has a very large infrastructure of apartments and accommodation, as well as all kinds of leisure and free time services. Highlights the visits that leave from the port of Vueltas to the Organs, in the neighboring municipality of Vallehermoso and that constitute a true wonder of the action of erosion on the calcareous stone. Several companies also engage in bicycle rental for bicycle touring or organize hiking activities because it has a strategic location for communications on the island, as well as a network of trails perfectly adapted for users.
